Player Development and Goalkeeper Training Objective
To provide weekly individual technical training sessions for both field players and goalkeepers.
To be conducted by professional trainers from the Total Soccer Academy, training for field players will have an emphasis on the development of footskills and using various surfaces of the feet to maintain possession, change directions, evade defenders, etc. Additionally, each session will include a separate goalkeeper group focusing on specialized training that is often not addressed in the typical team training session.

ON THE FIELD, sessions will consist of an active warm-up and technical skills introduction / practice to be followed by a progression of small-sided activities and games designed to encourage the player's application of technical skills.
Each week, goalkeepers will be introduced to small-sided activities and games with field players emulating game-like conditions.
Players are split up into two age groups 8-10 and 11 & older to facilitate training in the most age/ability appropriate settings.
Please have players to sessions 5 minutes early and be sure to bring water.
Players need to bring a ball and are required to wear shin guards.
Conditions permitting, all sessions will take place on field #2 at Washington Crossing State Park.
